Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how ARVENSO may use cookies and similar technologies on its website, what types of cookies may be used, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage, and scripts that help a website function, remember choices, measure performance, or support communication and security.
Cookies can be set by the website you visit or by third-party providers whose tools are used on that website.
2. How ARVENSO Uses Cookies
ARVENSO uses first-party cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, keep forms secure, deliver the selected language, remember privacy choices, and retain a colour theme when a visitor explicitly selects one.
Google Maps, Google Analytics 4, and Google Tag Manager are the optional third-party services currently used on the website. Each remains blocked until consent is given for its category. ARVENSO does not use advertising, remarketing, or social-media tracking cookies.
3. Strictly Necessary Cookies
arvenso_cookie_consent stores the visitor's cookie choices and consent version for 6 months. arvenso_language stores a language selected by the visitor for 12 months. arvenso_geo_language stores the temporary language default derived from country for 24 hours.
PHPSESSID is a first-party session cookie used on recruitment pages to protect secure forms and lasts for the browser session. These technologies are used only for requested website functionality, security, or privacy preference management.
4. Preference Cookies
The website uses local storage named arvenso-light-theme only after a visitor chooses an alternative colour theme. It remains until the visitor removes browser storage or selects another theme.
Language and theme storage support preferences explicitly requested by the visitor and are not used to follow activity across unrelated websites.
5. Analytics and Performance Cookies
ARVENSO uses Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-RW682PHZFP to understand visits and website usage, and Google Tag Manager container GTM-KNBRC6S2 to manage consented analytics tags. Neither Google tag is loaded until the visitor consents to analytics.
When enabled, Google Analytics may set the first-party cookies _ga to distinguish visitors and _ga_<container-id> to maintain session state. Their default expiry is up to 2 years, subject to browser restrictions and configuration.
6. Marketing Cookies
ARVENSO does not currently use advertising, remarketing, conversion measurement, or social-media tracking cookies.
External links to ARVENSO social-media profiles do not contact those platforms until the visitor chooses to follow a link.
7. Third-Party Technologies
The contact page offers an optional Google Maps embed provided by Google LLC. Before consent, the iframe has no Google URL and no request is sent to Google. If enabled, Google may receive the visitor's IP address, browser and device information, referrer, and map interactions and may use cookies or local storage.
Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager are also provided by Google LLC. If analytics consent is given, Google may receive usage and technical information such as page views, approximate location, and browser or device details.
Google determines its own cookies and retention periods, which may range from a browser session to 2 years depending on the cookie and account status. Current details are available in Google's cookie information linked from the website's cookie settings.
8. Managing Cookie Preferences
The cookie banner allows visitors to accept, reject, or customize optional technologies. The “Cookie settings” button on this page can be used at any time to withdraw or change consent.
Withdrawing consent prevents future loading of optional content but cannot remove third-party cookies previously set by a provider. Browser settings can be used to delete existing cookies or local storage. Blocking essential storage may affect website functionality.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
ARVENSO may update this Cookie Policy when website functionality, cookie use, service providers, or legal requirements change.
The latest version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
